The record
Firings
A mountain does not grow a new mountain every month. A kiln does. This is the record of ours — each one burned for three days and opened once.
Kiln 23 · opened 28 September 2026
3 days, 1 ton of pine
The third day was windless, so the ash fell straight down instead of drifting. That is why the pieces on the upper shelves carry more ash than the ones below.

Kiln 22 · opened 17 August 2026
3 days, 1 ton of pine
We stoked heavier than usual through the second night. The flame path ran straight across the middle shelves and left a hard line of colour on everything in its way.
